The New York Times' Disunion is commemorating the sesquicentennial of the American Civil War with daily articles that trace the progression of the war. Of particular interest are the excerpts from George Templeton Strong's diary. His detailed accounts can give students a perspective of what it would have been like to live through the war.

About Us
Clark County Educational Service Center (CCESC), in partnership with The Ohio State University's Department of History (OSU) and the Ohio Historical Society (OHS), offers Back to History, a project designed to increase teachers' knowledge, understanding and appreciation of American history through an intensive, ongoing professional development program. K-12 teachers in Ohio's Educational Regional Service System (ERSS) Region 10, including Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, and Preble counties may participate in the program: however, the resources of Back to History are available to the teaching community at large.
